We had to wait until January for the weather that finally made it possible to open the Nagyvill\u00e1m ski slope. On 9 January, in the early afternoon, the ski slope was finally open to all those who had been waiting impatiently since the first chilly days of winter to head there after work and enjoy one of the country\u2019s most beautiful ski slopes, boasting a stunning panoramic view.<\/b><\/p>\n

As well as announcing Friday\u2019s opening, Rezs\u0151 Gutbrod, the resort\u2019s operator, also reported that all snow-made slopes will be open by the weekend, so the combination of natural snow and the snow-making machines will provide us with a truly excellent set of slopes for skiing in the first half of January.<\/p>\n

The snow groomers are also hard at work; we even had to bring back the Russian machine that had been out of action for years to ensure that Run 3\/A is in the best possible condition. We\u2019ll have to wait a little longer for that, but it\u2019ll be ready by Saturday.<\/p>\n

On Friday, slopes 1\/A, 2\/A and the beginners\u2019 slopes will be open from 1.00 pm until 9.00 pm.<\/p>\n

On Saturday and Sunday, Run 3\/A will also be open; the platter lift will be in operation, there will be a buffet and equipment hire, and there will be opportunities for tobogganing, whilst ski lessons will also be available throughout the weekend. The ski slope will be open from 09:00 to 21:00 on both days, so for 12 hours in total.<\/p>\n

It is important to note that Panor\u00e1ma \u00fat will be one-way at the weekend in order to make traffic safer and to minimise the risk of accidents.
\nThere\u2019ll be loads of us \u2013 it\u2019s been ages since the weather was this lovely \u2013 let\u2019s look out for one another!<\/p>\n

Ticket prices have remained unchanged compared with those of the year before last and last year (only the season ticket for residents of Visegr\u00e1d has increased by 2,000 Ft).<\/p>\n

The slope will also be open the following week, starting on 12 January, between 13:00 and 21:00, so there\u2019s nothing to stop you enjoying a spot of skiing, snowboarding or even sledge riding after work (the latter is always possible outside the fenced-off sections).<\/p>\n
