Visegr\u00e1d, as the county seat of the time, was an extremely important area not only in military but also in administrative terms, so the parish church built in the early years of the reign of St Stephen (the first parish church in the county) was converted into the archdeaconry church a few decades later. The interior walls of the building, which stood out among similar churches of the time for its size, were decorated with frescoes. Few people know it, but the Visegr\u00e1d church of the Archbishop was home to one of the earliest Hungarian frescoes.<\/p>\n
