Visegrád

Our jousting programme is unique in the whole country. We will take you back to the Middle Ages, not so much dark as glitteringly colourful.

In a spectacular jousting tournament, members of the Order of St George will show how warriors fought for the favour of the king and queen in 14th century Visegrád. At the start of the programme, the knights will choose a king and queen from the audience to be dressed in royal robes and crowned.

At the King's call, the knights march in, and demonstrate their aiming and swordplay skills with their medieval weapons to the royal couple and their invited guests. The duels are realistic, exciting and sometimes humorous, evoking the bravery and daring of medieval knights. Our shows also feature a royal falconry flight.

To close the show, guests will have the opportunity to try out medieval weapons with the help of knights. Before or after the show, you can enjoy a meal in the Renaissance Restaurant.
