THE BEST SONG OF MY LIFE

Dubbed Irish musical comedy, 98 minutes, 2026 (Not recommended for under-16s!) Director: John Carney Starring: Paul Rudd, Nick Jonas, Havana Rose Liu Most musicians don’t make it big. Rick knows this all too well. He used to dream of a little more, but now he’s happy just playing at weddings, performing the bride’s friends’ favourite songs until the early hours. It doesn’t even bother him all that much when he strikes up a friendship with an almost-real star at a wedding reception. A member of a recently successful boy band is among the guests, and he seems quite normal: they even jam together for a bit. And Rick shows him the song he wrote as a teenager. Then, to his amazement, he realises that his song has shot to the top of the charts. But it isn’t him singing it, and his name isn’t credited. Rick decides to set the record straight. For himself, and for the best song of his life. (port.hu)

He has to rebuild his life, so he gets in touch with his ex-wife, Ruby, and his young daughter, Callie Rose, with whom he may now be forming the deepest bond.
