1970, Detroit. John Miller falls in love with the local mafia boss’s girlfriend and runs off with her, but their new life comes to nothing. The gangster turns to a few corrupt cops for help, but they soon catch up with them; the girl is returned to him, whilst John is sent to prison on false charges. Just long enough for him to learn every form of crime.
