On a mysterious island hidden deep in the ocean, cut off from the rest of the world, lives a community of sea serpents. The island is protected by the magical smoke of Uncle Ludovic, a creature that is half sea monster, half dragon. Living within this community is Rufus, a young sea snake who cannot quite find his place and stands out from his peers because he cannot swim.
