A theatre performance by Dorka Gönczi and Zsolt Varga.
Featuring: Anita Ábel and Simon Szabó
We discuss the pitfalls of relationships and divorce in the form of a performance, where either the audience can ask questions or well-known actors improvise based on pre-determined scenarios.
You often hear that a relationship is a dangerous business. However, whilst a crane operator, an electrician and a firefighter learn how to save themselves and others through detailed training courses, there is no preparatory training programme for relationship life, and no one will be there to guide you through your first „missions”.
Of course, we mediators cannot help with this either, but we would certainly like to offer a glimpse into the misunderstandings, conflicts, and spoken and unspoken disagreements that tear the harmony of a couple’s relationship to shreds behind the scenes.
Thought-provoking examples from our everyday lives, from our day-to-day lives, which can help us avoid the pitfalls of living together or that very situation where two people who were once madly in love with each other are now only able to speak to one another in the presence of solicitors or mediators, or even bring their relationship and bring their marriage to an end.
Although this is a serious subject, we do not feel that we cannot discuss it in a light-hearted manner, interwoven with humour and featuring interactive elements that blend the tragic and the comic – precisely so that it becomes clear to the audience once again that the shortest route between two points – however bumpy it may sometimes be – remains a smile and shared laughter.
We wholeheartedly recommend our entertaining yet thought-provoking programmes to anyone who has ever found themselves in a personal crisis, or who, with foresight, would like to avoid one.

THE BOOT-WEARING TOMCAT

Venue: Thermal Hotel Visegrád, indoors
2025. Visegrád, Lepence Valley 2.
fairy-tale play
Once upon a time, there was an old man;
For whom three sons wept,
And these three brothers shared the inheritance,
The older children took the donkey and the mill for themselves,
As for the cat, they saw no use for it,
That is why they left it to the youngest.
It was no wonder the young man was sad,
He longed for more; his mind was full of dreams,
It’s just that he was poor; his pockets were empty.
But whoever doesn’t give up will have a loyal companion,
And perhaps this will lead to a successful career.
And if the world of fairy tales doesn’t appeal to you,
Even then, you wouldn’t be coming for nothing!

The story and songs of Tamás Cseh
with lyrics by Géza Bereményi and Dénes Csengey,
Based on László Bérczes’s book of interviews
written and directed by Miklós H. Vecsei
Starring:
Huba Ratkóczi (QJÚB)
Balázs Szabó (Balázs Szabó’s Band)
Miklós H. Vecsei (QJÚB)
Lyrics: Géza Bereményi, Dénes Csengey
Music: Tamás Cseh, János Másik, János Novák
We recount the life story of Tamás Cseh, based on László Bérczes’s book of interviews, from his birth to his death, accompanied by more than 20 songs. For us, this is what matters most right now… Tamás’s character and memory are unique; they are a common thread that unites us all. We won’t even attempt to interpret his style of performance; instead, as he himself asks in the interview book, we’ll focus on “speaking out” and telling his story…
„GÉZA: What would you say if I wrote to you?”
TAMÁS: Even today, I can still see Géza’s face as he leaned towards me.
GÉZA: Shall we give it a go?
TAMÁS: We could give it a go.
GÉZA: Where do you live?
TAMÁS: ”35 Iskola Street.’”
Partner: Zsámbék Summer Theatre.
The performance lasts approximately 100 minutes without an interval.

MUSICIANS FROM BREMEN

Venue: Thermal Hotel Visegrád, indoors

I once heard a proverb:
Anyone who wants to sing will always find a song to sing.
That’s all this group of friends, the dog and the cat, did,
the cockerel and the donkey. They enjoyed clattering about together,
They set off for Bremen to make a racket.
But the journey was long and tiring, and night fell as they travelled under the open sky.
The temporary accommodation wasn’t comfortable,
I did find a house nearby, though it wasn’t in the best condition.
This is where the plot thickens; I’d better keep my poem short.
As you can see, I’m no expert at rhyming.
Take a seat! You’d be better off watching the performance.

Camoletti’s comedy has even made it into the Guinness Book of Records, as it is the most frequently performed comedy in the world!!!
Bernard, the young French star architect, is a playboy through and through: from his swanky flat, he can admire the magnificent panorama of Paris, and of course his stunning fiancée, whom he loves madly – but he also loves his other fiancée madly. And the third one too. Because, for a modern man, three fiancées are ideal, provided they’re all flight attendants and manage to avoid each other according to the flight schedule.
Bertha, the housekeeper, doesn’t even have time to hand in her notice, whilst she’s forced to cater for an international clientele, with the menu changing almost hourly. To make matters worse, Bernard’s childhood friend Robert turns up out of the blue, and, going from one surprise to the next, tries to find his feet in the midst of all the commotion.
However, Bernard’s happy life is suddenly turned upside down by unfavourable atmospheric conditions over Paris…

fairy-tale play
It is certainly many, many years since Matyi the lad taught Lord Döbrögi a lesson. Even now, crowds still gather outside the famous lad’s house to hear the story once more. And he does tell it, but he certainly needs a bit of help. Let the market folk, the geese and the forest come to life, to the delight of us all.

In the *MY LIFE* series, famous artists talk about their lives, the moments that have shaped them, and their stories.
Here, life really does write the script.
Kapa. That’s what the country calls him. Almost everyone knows and loves him. Yet his career certainly didn’t get off to an easy start.
He trained as a locksmith, but actually wanted to be a footballer. In an unexpected turn of events, he became an extra at the Szigligeti Theatre in Szolnok. He says that was when the theatre really took hold of him: for 15 years, he hardly ever set foot outside its walls. He worked his way up from one-liner roles to leading roles. Soon, the „big wide world” took notice of him too: he moved to Budapest, where leading roles in theatre and film came thick and fast. He met Péter Scherer, and the legendary Kapa-Pepe duo was born. And ever since, his career has been racing ahead almost non-stop.
On this evening, Zoltán Mucsi takes to the stage and recounts the most important stories of his life. Not in a deadly serious way, of course, but in his own „Kapás” style. From his childhood in Abony to his job as a newspaper delivery boy in Szolnok, from his dramatic roles to his stint as an electrician, from Jancsó’s films to János Tóth. Naturally, he’ll also talk about his private life and his family, as without them his life wouldn’t be complete.
