Spring is undoubtedly here. Even if the wind blows from time to time, and even if we haven’t quite managed to tuck our coats away at the back of the wardrobe yet. Mahart’s boat services and HopOn HopOff buses, for example, will be kicking off their spring season on 30 March.
By the Ides of March, the pace of the gentle, gradual reawakening we had seen up to that point quickens within a matter of days, until spring arrives from one moment to the next with its flowers, fresh, vibrant green shoots and soft, caressing breezes. It arrived suddenly in Visegrád too, even though here, at the foot of the Pilis, we can beautifully sense the gradual stages of this change. However, if the sight of the blossoming trees on Rév Street, Széchenyi Street or even the legendary Fő Street were not enough for some, from this point on, the fact that the pleasure boats are setting sail, just as the big red double-decker buses once again become part of Visegrád’s townscape, also helps us to mark the changing seasons…

During the spring half-term holiday (30 March – 7 April), the boat will run with departures at 10.00 and 14.00, so you can enjoy the Danube every day from Monday to Sunday. The boat will continue to run at weekends after the break, but you’ll find the exact timetable on our website.
Hop-on Hop-off
For years now, we’ve been able to take a tour of Visegrád every summer on these fantastic panoramic buses. You can hop on and off wherever you like…
The first shuttle service will start on 30 March, and buses will then run in Visegrád on 31 March, 1 April, 6 April and 7 April.
Services depart from the Ferry Terminal at the following times:
10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30, 17:30.
