On 29 April, the renowned Danube Bend cruise – which grows in popularity year on year – will set sail for its 2023 season.
Mahart-PassNave’s Danube Bend cruises operate between 29 April and 17 September on the Danube, following the legendary Visegrád–Nagymaros–Zebegény–Dömös–Nagymaros–Visegrád route. Following the spring timetable – that is, from 21 May onwards – the summer departure times will apply, subject, of course, to current water levels, but we are confident that we will not have to contend with either severe drought or significant flooding during the 2023 season.
A special feature of the Danube Bend circular service is that, with a valid day ticket in hand, you can alight at any stop, and whenever you feel like it, you can continue on to your next destination on one of the following services. This means that in a single day you can explore Nagymaros, which offers a beautiful view of the opposite bank of the Danube, whilst also catching a glimpse of the excellent hiking trails in the Börzsöny Mountains from the town; you can also get a taste of Visegrád; we can linger in Dömös to our heart’s content; and we can discover the dreamlike town of Zebegény. The boat trips offer an unrivalled opportunity for a glimpse of these places, and next time there’ll be no question as to which towns you’d like to explore in more depth – or better still: you can draw up your Danube Bend bucket list. Which town will be first? Painting, forests, the Middle Ages? You’ll have time to ponder this on board the boat, armed with fresh experiences.
Day tickets for the sightseeing tours are available again this year at a very reasonable price of just 1,500 Ft, You can find out more about the exact timetable for the Danube Bend circular tour by clicking here.
