We had a bit of a warm-up in Visegrád ahead of the 2023 season. It’s been ages since we’ve felt this pleasantly tired…

Once again this year, the town of Visegrád is welcoming visitors with a host of exciting outdoor activities, and on this lovely spring day, we too took a tour of the unrivalled range of activities, courtesy of Antin Müller and the team at the El-Tekerentyű workshop, on some superb pedelec bikes.

So we set off from the E-Bike centre, and from there we went to the Palotaház, where, amongst other things, we visited the boat harbour and the Crafts Courtyard, before setting off again towards Solomon’s Tower to make our way up to the canopy course. On Fekete Hill, Botond Járási showed us round the trail and the adventure park, whilst Zsolt Mikó introduced us to the bobsleigh run, where we had a good slide down to relax a bit.

At the Citadel, Bálint and Richárd Anda were waiting for us with some local specialities from the Anda Winery’s range. Wonderful wines, a stunning view – it really wasn’t your average Wednesday…

As we made our way down Panoráma Road, we also popped into the Apát-kút valley. Here, Miklós Koncz showed us round; we took a look at the latest improvements to the Ördögmalom Restaurant, and we also popped out to the Pisztrángos Lakes for a bit, but we didn’t stay long, despite the tempting aromas, because the steepest descent of the hike was waiting for us, which took us all the way to the sports ground. 

István Bártfai told us down there about the opportunities offered by the sports ground, whilst Zoltán Gyurián spoke about the plans for the 2023 season of the popular SUP tours. 
We spent the day relaxing with Balázs Abonyi’s excellent Visegrád beer and Zsófia Bártfai’s delicious sandwiches – a day that, whilst sitting on the back of an E-Bike, which made it clear that there won’t be a single dull moment in Visegrád this year either.
