On a mysterious island hidden deep in the ocean, cut off from the rest of the world, lives a community of sea serpents. The island is protected by the magical smoke of Uncle Ludovic, a creature that is half sea monster, half dragon. Living within this community is Rufus, a young sea snake who cannot quite find his place and stands out from his peers because he cannot swim. However, when disaster strikes and Uncle Ludovic loses the power to protect the island, it falls to Rufus to save his family.
