The Visegrád leg of the Salomon Ultra Trail Hungary running race will take place on 19 May. Although the registration deadline for the race passed in mid-April, we will still have every opportunity to encourage runners to take part and familiarise themselves with the sport.
The cross-country race will pass through Sibrik Hill, a section of Pálos Road and Mogyoró Hill, and will also run past Urak asztala and Borjúfő. Within the town, only Rákóczi Street, Széchenyi Street and Kálvária Street will be affected by the race, but you should expect more activity and heavier traffic than usual on the day.
The time limit for the race will be 6 hours. Runners must cover 29.9 km to reach the finish line in Szentendre. An interesting detail is that, according to current information, the youngest registered competitor is 9 years old, whilst the oldest is 71.
As part of the Salomon Visegrád Trail, you can also register for a special additional race: the Tui Mountain Tour. The fastest woman and the fastest man amongst the registered runners to reach the timing point set up at Borjúfő will each win a ticket to Crete or Cyprus.
