The Madas László Forestry School, the country’s longest-running forest school, is situated on Mogyoró Hill, which offers magnificent views of the Danube Bend. The hill is a popular destination for day-trippers, with numerous attractions offering enough to keep visitors occupied for several days. From here, it is just a short distance to Visegrád Castle, Solomon’s Tower and the Visegrád bobsleigh track.
The wooden cabins, situated in the immediate vicinity of the forest school’s main building – the Forest Cultural Centre designed by Imre Makovecz – can accommodate up to 130 people. Our forest school not only welcomes groups of children to the wooden cottages, but also looks forward to hearing from families, hikers and groups of friends who love the outdoors!
Our accommodation is known as ‘A QUIET PLACE’, so we warmly welcome guests who will not disturb the peace of the mountains by making noise or playing music between 9 pm and 7 am.
