Lili is a typical young woman of our time: she is lonely and tries to convince herself that she is fine as she is. But one day, at her parents’ flat, she finds a bundle of old letters which her mother, it seems, did not want her to see. Naturally, she doesn’t hesitate; she starts reading, and the past comes to life before her eyes. An unforgettable summer in the early nineties, when three close friends are on holiday at Lake Balaton, and of the three, only Eszter wants to remain faithful to the boyfriend she left at home. But her plans, usually followed with an engineer’s precision, are thrown slightly off course when she meets a lad who is easy-going, funny and has another great quality: he plays in a band and performs with his mates on the beach at Szigliget in the evenings. What might come of this? Turmoil? Love? Jealousy? A few kisses? A few slaps? That’s the bare minimum.
